Hello friends,

What does it mean to be a Christian. Well I am going to say this the best I can. Some of you won't understand and some of you won't agree I am just going to state how I feel in regards to this. Please note that I am niether a preacher a church goer or an evangelist. I am just simply a man. Don't be mad at me for what I am about to say but it is time it is said.

What does it take to be a Christian.

1. Selflessness.

Giving up everything that you hold dear in this life. Including your own personal wealth, your health, your possesions, your wants, your needs, your desires, when I say everything I mean everything. You will no longer do what is in the best interest of your self you will become a lowly servant to others. You will do this no matter how bad the pain indside is. You do this because God has instilled in you the knowledge that He is the only provider that you will ever need. Also you do this because He has done much greater things for you. If you love others before yourself that is only a small comparision to the love that He gives you.

2. Recognizing How Bad you really are.

Acknowledging the fact that you have and will continue to sin. You feel torn inside because inside you do not want to sin but your heart and mind does nothing but sin. You detest yourself for the things you say and the things you think and the things you do. You constantly are at battle with yourself. You get tired from the mental strain of it all. Somedays you feel like giving up and giving into sin because that is all you have ever really known.

3. You realize that you are different.

The feelings you have inside are overwelhming and torment you daily. You don't have the same passions as others. You put your love out there for others way farther then you should and a lot of the times get very hurt from them. Your kind and polite and you care about everyone you meet. You allow people to use you even knowing that ahead of time. Your over emotional because you can't handle the love God gives you. You can't understand why or how you feel inside. You do things without thinking because they are the right thing to do. Even when it's the wrong thing to do for yourself. You see things in a different way then most. Beauty has a new definition.

4. The subtle reminder that it won't change until you die.

You come to terms that you will never again will be able to fulfill your own desires. Your destined to live a poor lonely existance because you know most will reject what you have to say and stand for. You realize that you have to work longer and harder then others because you are a servant. Your going to live your life at least for the remainder of it on earth humbled and weak.

That is what it means to me to be a Christian. Now before you get all bent out of shape read the book for yourself. Being a believer in Christ is hard and it hurts. But the love God gives you is more then enough for you to make it through your pathetic existence. Our goal is to not fit in not be like everyone else not be apart of this evil world. Stand out and take the punches. There is reasons why it says in the bible "But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

I am only saying this because I believe it to be true. I have felt all of the above. But somewhere deep indside I can maintain my strength and my faith remains. No matter how far I go I know that my Lord has done far greater things for me. People you must wake up to the fact that bein a true Christian kinda sucks. Its not easy its not pleasant there are no butterflies and cupcaps. God wants you to be humble before Him. Believe Repent Repent and bear good fruits my friends.

Are you sure you are saved?

Hello cyberworld,

Interesting question isn't it! How do you know you are really saved. Is it because you said a prayer once. Lord Jesus come into my heart forgive me of my sins? Is that how its done? Are you sure? Where does it say that in God's word?

Are you walking on the narrow path? Are you following Christs way? How can you be sure you are saved>>?

My Prayer.

Father thank you for saving me. I am a corrupt and evil person I can't control my mind or my heart or the words that spew out of my mouth. But you Lord love me. I pray to you in repentance for my evil ways. Lord help me stay on that narrow path. If I fall Lord I will gladly take your punishment to get me back on that path. Lord I fear hell. If hell is your wrath which I deserve I want to escape from it. For if hell is your wrath heaven must be your Love. Jesus you gave your life for me and I believe in you so much help me guide me lead me let your Word speak to me. Let me bear fruit so that others will know that it is You that has changed me. Let the whole world know that without You in me I am nothing. Amen

The challenge for the week.

Hello friends of the cyber world.

It has been awhile since I have last blogged for a reason. There seems to be many things going on in this world and I needed some time away to study anaylze and pray. I don't know if any of you have noticed how fast things in this world are spiraling out of control. Our appetite for desires of this world has seem to overcome many. How many of you have recently thought about what is happening in other parts of the world that don't affect you but are still happening? Hmm need some examples? Lets start with Darfur where hundreds of thousands are being slaughter in the most gruesome way. Or how about the floods in Mexico that make New Orleans seem like a puddle. There are reports that more people then ever are depressed. The US economy is on the verge of free fall and many more things. All of these things going on but many don't seem to pay to much attention as it does not affect them directly. Well I would like to tell you that all of us are responsible for this mess that we are in and we should do much more then what we are doing to help so many in other parts of the world. God does not want us to sit idlly by and wait for Him to act. If we were in a sinking boat he would want us to row to shore and put our back into it, not sink! I am not talking about donating $5 bucks at the store cause you feel obligated. It all starts with small things, like kind words and small deeds. These lead to bigger things. There are many Christians in this world. If for even the rest of the this week if we all acted like one, like GOD wants us, to maybe we will make an impact on this world. How bout this for the rest of the week we all put ourselves at the back of the pack and put everyone elses needs ahead of our own. Just for a week. Can we do it? The rest of the world would know who our Master is and He would be glorified by us. Would they not say the God of Christians is kind and generous and His love abounds in His followers? I challenge anyone out there to do this and watch how God will bless you for your sacrifices for Him. As everything we do we should do for Him who saved us.

The Great Deception Part three

Hello there,

Watching the news in the last few days has brought to my attention how rapid this great deception is becoming. I urge all of you to pray and make sure you are right with God. Time maybe of the essance for you. I will not post any bible verses in this blog as I am afraid many of you don't read them anyway. Let me instead try to reason with some. Everybody has to make a choice sooner or later. Once you stop breathing your time will be up. It is NOW that you need to make up your mind of how you are going to live this life. If you don't chose God enjoy life as you know it but do not be surprised by the end result. If you do chose God I rejoice for you it is a wonderfull thing to have God touch you in such a wonderfull way. People ask me all the time if God is real and to prove it. Well I can prove it but they are not willing to take the test. What is the test you ask. Pray to him honestly respectfully and repent from your sins. Then you will know what I am talking about. I feel his love. I see his hand on my life. He is in me and I can't wait to escape this shell.

The Great Deception Part two

In my last blog I think that we established through the bible that there is a great deception talked about. If you took the time to click the bible verses then you would understand the topic.

In this blog I want to establish who this being is. Not the Hollywood version or the folklore version. In understanding who and what the enemy is, and how he operates, we can be better prepared to deal with him when he crosses our path.

First, let us see who the devil was in the beginning.

Ezekiel 28 (KJ)

13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

He is described as a gem of precious stones. But a gem has no light of its own. It is not beautiful in a dark room. Its beauty is in its ability to reflect light from without.

When God created Lucifer, He made him with a capacity to reflect the glory of God to a greater degree than any other created being. God was the light that made Lucifer radiate beauty.

But Satan did not retain this glorious position. He was filled with pride of his beauty and power. Look at the following verses from Isaiah and see what was in his heart.

Isaiah 14 12-14 (KJ)

12 How you have fallen from heaven,
       O morning star, son of the dawn!
       You have been cast down to the earth,
       you who once laid low the nations!

13 You said in your heart,
       "I will ascend to heaven;
       I will raise my throne
       above the stars of God;
       I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
       on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain.

14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High."

So what happened to him after this rebellion?

BANISHMENT FROM HEAVEN

Because of his rebellion, Satan was cast out of Heaven by God:

...I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God...I will cast thee to the ground... (Ezekiel 28:16-17)

CORRUPTION OF CHARACTER:

Lucifer, once created for God's glory, became Satan with a character that opposed all God is and does.

PERVERSION OF POWER:

Satan's power was once used for God's glory. Now it is turned to disruptive and destructive purposes. According to Isaiah 14 he weakens the nations (verse 12), causes the earth and governments to tremble (verse 16), and those taken as his prisoner have no relief (verse 17).

DESTINED TO THE LAKE OF FIRE:

Satan was destined to the lake of fire (Isaiah 14:15).

AFFECTED OTHER ANGELS OF GOD:

When Satan fell from Heaven he did not fall alone. He took with him a portion of the angelic host of Heaven who participated in his rebellion against God.

Where is Satan right now?

7 And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, from going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

What kind of being is he now?

He is subtle in his lies and deception

3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

He has his own will

26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

He is Powerful

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

He is Deceptive

Spirit that worketh in the children of disobedience: Ephesians 2:2

You can recognize the power of Satan from his attributes and names. Because he is a deceptive, powerful enemy the Bible warns:

Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. (I Peter 5:8)

Neither give place to the devil. (Ephesians 4:27)

So we have covered a lot of stuff here. I think we have established who satan was and is. Your comments would be welcome on this subject.

You have heard some say that we are living in the last days. We may very well be in the last days. First I want to clarify that I am neither a scholar nor a theologian. I have been trying to focus on things that are outside of the box if you like. I have been questioning the very reality that we as humans have created. Was this God’s plan for mankind? Or is this part of the Great Deception:

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

After reading this one could presume the following:

There are men trying to deceive you by any means possible.

The day of the Lord shall not come until it happens.

Many are deceived and fall away from the faith.

The antichrist will be revealed after the falling away.

Who is the son of perdition you say? Here is the definition.

WHAT IF:

Satan’s plan is to deceive Christians as well?

(What better revenge against God than to deceive his loved ones)

Our Government is involved in Satanism?

(Satan is after all the ruler of the earth)

Satan’s plan is subtle and eloquent so that even the elect would be deceived?

(If you are expecting full force evil that will not happen yet)

We have been programmed into thinking that things are normal?

(watch TV and tell me if we are not programmed)

The Great Deception has already started and we do not know it?

(It has! Don’t be fooled)

A little reality check

Hello friends strangers from the cyber world,

After observing some things today I thought I would write just a little note about our self absorbed materialistic world we have created. It is sad to me to see people who think by wearing a certain style acting a certain way or even driving a certain car gives the some sort of status in this world.

Have we forgotten that this world is a journey and we are here for a short time to make decisions and choose our paths? Is not the next life more important to us then what we have here? We are aliens and strangers in this land among pagans. Our goal in this life is to make it to the next. That is what we call Hope.

The word speaks of this:

1 Peter 2:10-12 (New International Version - UK)

10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

11 Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul.

12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

16This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

Why happiness

Hello folks from the cyberworld,

People often wonder why I seem always happy and content. Truth of the matter is I am always happy and content. Why you may ask? Well first and foremost God gave me a thankfull heart. But there are other reasons why i am a happy person. I found happiness in things that some people wouldn't think of. I try at all times to put the needs of others before my own. I do this because it makes me happy to see joy and happiness in others. Some will say you first have to look after your own needs before you can help others. This is what I say to them. God is in control of my life and takes care of all my needs. I am content with the gifts that he has blessed me with. Material things do not really matter to me. When I started out my adult life I had little and realized the value in life is not where I live and what kind of car I drive. It is the pure love that I have for my Lord, my wife and son, my many friends, and the happiness that they have.

I don't look at my job as a money resource, I look at as an opportunity to make a substantial difference in someones life. How is this done? In one brief moment through our controlled enviroment I can take someone out of the dulldrums of society and make them smile or laugh or for one moment forget about all the things that trouble us. Do you realize that 90% of things we worry about are things we cannot change? Lets focus our efforts on the 10% that we can. We will all be far happier and more productive if we do that.

Happiness I find is highly contagious. If I am happy so will others be. Happiness is from God and it is his will that we be happy. The things that happen in life are often sad and tragic. We can choose to dwell on these things and let them control our lives. We can also choose to see that out of sad and tragic things come other wonderfull things. That is choice that we all make.

Look at these from the bible.

Ecclesiastes 3:11-13

11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. 13 That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil—this is the gift of God

Psalm 16:8-10

8 I know that the Lord is always with me.
      He is at my right hand.
      I will always be secure.
9 So my heart is glad. Joy is on my tongue.
      My body also will be secure.
10 You will not leave me in the grave.
      You will not let your faithful one rot away.

Philippians 4:10-12

10I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you have been concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. Hebrews 13:5-6

5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. 6 So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Be Happy my friends as the Lord wants you to be. He will take care of all your needs if you have faith. Try and seek happiness in others and you will see what makes me happy

Hey folks,

Just thinking about the day I will be judged by almighty God for my sins against his laws. I picture a court room crowded with millions of people who are also waiting trial. As I walk towards the witness stand I remember all the times that I have broken God's law. All of them everyone of the ten commandments. I realize that it was impossible for me in my sinfull nature not to break them. I also remember how I tried so very hard not to but the flesh is weak. As I approach the witness stand the large heavy doors of the court room open and in comes the prosecutor. The prosecutor has stacks and stacks of evidence with him. He seems to be smiling as this would appear to be an open and shut case for him. As I take the witness stand I hear ewe's and ah's from the crowd as my defense lawyer enters the court room. He has only one witness with him and he carries no papers or even a briefcase. The judge appears to be in a position of such power as he has a large book in front of him and a heavy gavel. The judge peers at me and says how do you plead. Just as I am about to reply my lawyer stands up and says "innocent". The crowd suddenly goes really quiet as they know there is a stack of evidence on the prosecutors desk. The prosecutor jumps to his feet and says "What are you crazy he is guilty beyond doubt". The judge slams his gavel down and yells "SILENCE". The room became very quiet. My lawyer approached the Judge at his bench. He turned and faced the crowd and said "this man is innocent I am his witness and his sins have been paid for". Some in the crowd stood cheering and clapping while others just put their heads in the hands and cried. The judge slammed his gavel down once again and declared his verdict.

Romans 3 21But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement,through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

hello there,

I was told to start a blog by various friends of mine. So here it is. Strange though why people would ask me to blog when most don't understand me when i speak to them. Maybe it is the opportunity to read it again and again in hopes that something I say may make some sort of reference to intelligence. They say that there is a fine line between being intelligent and being crazy. I would suggest to you after reading some of my blogs that you judge for yourself as I don't really know myself. What I do know is this no matter what others think and say it is only important what you think and say. Your life is a reflection of who you really are so you may want to shine it up a bit so it looks nice.

So if you would like to find out why some think that i am intelligent and others think i am crazy come back and read some of my blogs as i will post something if i think it may benefit you.

To all of you who said i would never make it to my thirties I say

Finally, to everyone who may read this someday remember that a free gift has been giving to you and all you have to do is accept it.
